Delaware’s certified history service uses a fingerprint appointment and identification. For a required agency check, obtain the correct service code from that agency; a personal-history request is a separate route.
Use the State Police request instructions to select the service before booking. Do not order a personal report as a substitute for a mandated agency check.
Checked October 2, 2026: for your own certified Delaware report, use service code 27RVGT. It is issued only to the requesting citizen and does not satisfy a legally mandated agency check. For a required check, obtain that organization’s code before registering. Start the fingerprint appointment or mail-in service through IdentoGO enrollment, reached from the State Police Schedule Here link. Do not mail a request to an SBI enrollment location; State Police warns this causes significant delays.
The posted fee is $72 for certified Delaware history, or $85 for certified Delaware plus federal history when mandated by law. These are different products, not a combined price or an optional federal upgrade for every personal request. Fingerprints and identification are required; check the registration page for accepted identification and payment options.
The State Police notice says fingerprinting at all locations will transition to IDEMIA SMART-E kiosks beginning October 5, 2026, with a trained agent assisting and supervising remotely. Review that dated notice before attending your appointment.
For a Delaware agency-required check, use that agency’s service code. An FBI summary ordered for your own review is not a substitute for the mandated employment or licensing process.
